This tree is a symbol for people who sacrificed their lives to their love, and their love to freedom. This was the least we could do to remember them. We call this tree “Iran: Peace and Solidarity”. The tree will grow and will remind act as a reminder of the pride and honour of the people who gave their lives. The planted in Victoria Park (across the main gate of Public Garden, South Park St. and Spring Garden Rd).

- Chris Maxwell, Halifax Peace Coalition
- Conclusion
Dr. Alan Shaver, Vice-President Academic and Provost, Dalhousie University was attended as Dalhousie University representative.
